Important changes to the Queensland Development Code for Flood Stop Safety Valves

The flexible hoses which connect appliances — like dishwashers, fridges, washing machines, toilets and taps — are all weak points in the home’s water supply.

BurstProof Mixer Set

This patented system cuts off the water supply when it detects an increase in water flow caused by the failure of an old or faulty hose. Water flow is cut right away, preventing damage to the home or unit.

If the system is activated, it's simple to reset after fixing the hose. Turn the valve off till you hear the reset click, and simply turn back on slowly till the water refills the lines. It doesn't get any easier!

Flexible hoses are used to connect the water supply to your taps and appliances. They are the weakest point in the plumbing in your house and if they fail, water will flood your home.
Flexible hoses are all subject to environmental factors which can cause failure. Even with a warranty, it is likely to be limited and not cover damage to your home caused by a failure. BurstProof is the only system guaranteed to cut the water at the source and prevent flooding if a hose should fail, giving you peace of mind.
We recommend a licenced plumber installs your BurstProof valves to ensure correct installation and operation.
If the valve detects an increase in water flow, the stop valve is activated immediately, shutting off the water flow to the burst hose.
Once the hose has been repaired the valve can be reset. It’s a simple procedure of turning the valve off until you hear the reset click, then slowly turning it on to let water back into the pipe.
